Kawaii Box is a super cute monthly subscription box of Kawaii goodies! Every month you’ll get 10-12 cuteness overload Kawaii items from Japan and Korea! If you are unfamiliar with kawaii culture in Japan (basically cuteness) check out the Wikipedia article.

This takes a couple weeks to arrive, but it’s packed full of stuff!

The information card lists all the items in the box! No information – just the names of the items, which is helpful.

Meiji DIY Sushi-Bar Gummies: So, this is pretty hilarious! You get the “rice” gummies and the “fish” gummies and mix and match them to make sushi! I love the DIY candy kits! These are peach, lemon, and banana flavors.

Unchi-Kun Poop Lollipop: Yes it’s a swirl of poop! The only thing that would have made it better is if they affixed little sugar candies like the poop emoji, which is totally my fave.

Popcorn Rolling Stamp Set: This has an inker, 3 stamps, and 2 rolling stamps to stamp out your cute kawaii characters (btw Popcorn is a brand, compare to Sanrio, not like popcorn)!

Lollipop Pen: It’s a real pen with a lollipop. Sometimes I have nothing to say about kawaii items because they blow my mind. The lollipop isn’t real but it’s super cute and kawaii!

Jewelry Seal Deco Stickers: You can use these flashy gem stickers to encrust your cell phone. It says so right on the package!

Animal Sticker Sheet: This is so adorable and has so many rodents! Bunnies, squirrels, flying squirrels, ferrets, hamsters, mice, floppy ear bunnies. Plus birds, hedgies, some nuts for all those rodents, and some seeds. I love the puffy stickers!

Heart Shaped Nail Flakes: Iridescent hearts to affix to your mani.

Neko Emoji Mini Mini Pouch: I’m not sure exactly who this character is but it’s a cute little soft zipper pouch. I think it’s a ca!

Finger Family Monster Pouch: This has an unusual mesh back! Good for keeping actual coins or reward cards/ID cards!

Pattern Envelope Set: The outside says: Natural Beauty – Every Soul all need to Praise Each Flower to Bloom. That sentiment matches the rain on the outside.

Flan Dakigurumi Plush Pouch: I totally love this bunny. It has a little love embroidered over its heart and unzips in the back.

You can store all sorts of things inside and automatically make everything huggable!

Kawaii Box always has a great mix of items and this box was no different – fun stickers and stationery supplies, a healthy dose of cute Kawaii candies, some great storage items, and my fave – the big plush bunny pouch! Also I had a great time making my gummy sushis and eating them while writing my review! What a great box – enter to win one below!

Hoje o post é muito especial! Trago uma review em vídeo com um convidado muito especial e também um passatempo em parceria com a Japan Candy Box, em que uma de vocês poderá ganhar uma caixinha surpresa recheada de docinhos!

Flan dakigurutti plush pouch,é um coelhinho muito fofinho e é um porta-lápis quase que não cabe nada é verdade e por isso vou apenas usar como coelhinho de pelúcia.

Decidi juntar duas amigas e abrirmos a box juntas. Foi deveras entusiasmante vivenciar esta experiência com a Cátia e a Carla. Divertimo-nos muito a gravar este vídeo! Recentemente convidaram-me a experimentar a Japan Candy Box e não é que ela chegou mesmo a tempo do Halloween! Coincidência ou não este ano já não tenho de pregar partidas para receber doces e o melhor é que estas goluseimas não se encontram à venda nas lojas regulares o que ainda as torna mais especiais.

Gomas, chupa chupas, bolinhas doces, bombons e até um kit de DIY são apenas algumas das coisinhass que compõem esta caixa que leva a cultura Kawai ao mundo dos doces. 

Tal como as beauty boxes às quais vocês já devem estar habituados(as), esta caixinha é mensal e todos os meses por mais ou menos 18 euros (19,90 dólares, mas o preço ainda pode diminuir consoante a assinatura) os seus subscritores recebem em casa uma caixa cheia de doces (os portes são grátis para todo o mundo). Loucura, não? A verdade é que o conceito é bem giro e doces toda a gente gosta!

A minha caixa demorou cerca de um mês a chegar e apesar de estarmos no final de outubro corresponde ao mês de setembro, mas já sabem como é, tudo o que vem de outros continentes demora sempre algum tempo a chegar.

De qualquer forma valeu a pena porque é cada coisinha melhor que a outra e como aposto que vocês também vão querer experimentar tenho uma Japan Candy Box para vos oferecer, para isso só têm de participar no formulário que aqui vos apresento.

O passatempo é INTERNACIONAL e qualquer pessoa pode participar! Para quem não conhece, Japan Candy Box, é uma ''caixa'' de subscrição mensal ( por volta dos 18€) em que todos os meses se recebe uma box cheia de doces japoneses! Adorei receber e aconselho a toda a gente! Uma experiência bastante agradável e engraçada. Vou fazer a Review da Box de Setembro 2015! Gostei! Têm um sabor bastante agradável. Só é pena trazer 2 pastilhas nesta pequena caixinha! Um dos favoritos, sem dúvida, mas também há quem diga que não presta e não tem sabor, não entendo!

Fujiya Anpanman Lollipop

Talvez a maior desilusão da caixa... Muito bonito por fora, como todos os outros, mas de sabor era péssimo! Não gostei nada. Tem um sabor intenso a uva no início, até gostei, mas ao fim de 10 segundos com ele na boca, ficou muito enjoativo.

Morinaga Ramune Soda Candy

Bem, quando cheirei e meti à boca, a minha primeira impressão foi ''Bem, que nojo!''. Pensei melhor e fiz uma grande descoberta... ''Espera aí, eu conheço isto!'' Ah sim, adorei, dos melhores, se não o melhor! Opa que saudades que eu tinha de comer isto, são aquelas antigas bolinhas que se desfazem na boca, se tornam em pó! Tipo aquelas pulseiras cheias de bolinhas comestíveis. Não vos sei dizer ao certo o sabor. Sei que adorei e vou guardar para sempre...

Kracie Popin' Cookin' DIY Oekaki Animal Candy Land Kit

O mais engraçado deste candy é que é um DIY... É uma espécie de sugo sem sabor definido. Dentro da embalagem vem uns poucos moldes e umas tintas para pintar o rebuçado de várias maneiras. Achei bastante engraçado mas saiu tudo furado! Come-se bem, mas nada de magnífico!

Meiji Watapavhi Melon Popping Candy Floss

Bastante bom. Igual a algodão doce. Adorei! Não entendi muito bem se era para comer assim ou então para misturar na água, mas eu comi assim. Gostei muito! Para aumentar o seu ar divertido tem aqueles estalidos maravilhosos! Simplesmente perfeito, hmmm...

Bourbon Fettuccine Gummy - Cola

Para mim é só o melhor doce desta caixa! Nunca gostei de gomas com sabor a coca-cola, odeio mesmo! Mas estas surpreenderam-me pela positiva a 200%. Mas claro para quem gosta de gomas de coca-cola, devem ser apenas mais umas gomas normais, mas eu adorei! E vêm recheadas de açucar, hmm!

Outro doce que me deixou completamente surpreendido pela positiva! Adorei! Não gosto de chocolate de morango, odeio. Mas estes são mesmo bons! Só é pena que são muito pequeninos e não tem assim tantos ahah

Uma espécie de sugos, com sabor a ananás.Simplesmente odiei. Um sabor bastante intenso a ananás! Mas há quem tenha adorado. Meti à boca uns segundos e depois só me apetecia vomitar, que nojo!

In Japanese pop culture there is a term for everything cute, and that term is KAWAII! Sanrio characters like Keroppi frog and Hello Kitty were a huge part of my childhood.  Even today I have a hard time resisting Kawaii items in stores (pencils with smiling bunny tops, puffy food stickers with little eyes and noses drawn on them- need I say more?).  Kawaii is an art form, and it's one that my heart appreciates.  Mr. Jersey Momma says it's one thing he doesn't understand, but what does he know?  Anyway, if you happen to have the same Kawaii obsession that I do, you might appreciate this fabulous service called Kawaii Box.  Read all about it below, then enter to win a Kawaii Box of  your own!

What is Kawaii Box?

Subscription boxes are all the rage these days.  You can have just about anything delivered once a month to your home; like pet toys, video games, snacks, candy or even lingerie.  Kawaii Box is a unique addition to this trend.  For a reasonable fee, you can have a box of 10-12 hand-picked Japanese and Korean Kawaii items delivered right to your door.  *squeal!*  You can visit Kawaii Box on their website or follow them on Twitter and Facebook. 

How Does Kawaii Box Work?

You choose the plan that best suits you.  You can choose a one time shipment or opt for a different schedule- 3 months, 6 months or a full year.  As of the publication date of this entry, one month and three month plans cost $18.90 (per month).  If you opt for the 6 month or 12 month plan, your box will cost $17.90 a month.  Boxes are delivered at the end of each month.  My box was the shipment from September, 2015.  I received an email in advance when it was shipped, so I knew to be on the lookout for it.

What is in a Kawaii Box?

Each month, your Kawaii shipment will vary.  You'll receive 10-12 items that could include anything from candy to stationary.  When you flip open your Kawaii Box, you'll find a nicely wrapped package and an item list to tell you what's inside.

This might not seem really necessary, but it's nice to have a little description of what each item is.  I also kind of like their little kitty cat mascot on there.  He's Kawaii, too!

First, here's what my Kawaii Box looked like when I pulled back the tissue paper to see what was inside.  I like that it looks hand-packaged.

One of my favorite items in the package is this egg mini plush.  He reminded me of Gudetama from Sanrio.

My other favorite item was the squishy green toast charm.  Why?  I don't know.  That's the thing about Kawaii- when  you like it, you just like it, and you can't really explain why.  The middle item is a little coin purse called Moomin.

Then there was a pouch of candy gummy fish, which I haven't even opened yet because the package is so cute.  This is very common with my Kawaii obsession.  I still have Kawaii items from the 1980's in their original packaging, because even as a kid, I didn't want to open up the items and ruin the cuteness of it all!

The other candy inside was an ice cream cone pink candy and a 'wry neck' bunny pen.

I loved the adorable mini birthday card, and I will probably never send it because I like it that much (I told you, that's how it goes with my love of Kawaii!).

There was a large pouch with little alpacas on it (there are a lot of Kawaii alpacas out there), that reads, 'Life is simple, it's just not easy.'  So true, right?  It's like Kawaii zen.

Another one of my favorite items from the package was this set of puffy Kawaii food stickers.  I will probably keep them all on the plastic, just like that.  I actually have a sticker book and I can add the entire pack to it without peeling anything off.  What?  Doesn't every adult have their own sticker book?

And then there was a little container of scented gel beads.  The canister is so Kawaii!!!

And finally, there was a DIY (that must be a universal term) bracelet kit.  The pics on the back show some of the Kawaii designs that you can make.

Is Kawaii Box Worth It?

Are you a Kawaii fan?  Do you know someone who is?  Then yes, Kawaii Box is most definitely worth it. You know, some people like buying a shirt each month, or getting their nails done.  And some people like getting cute things in the mail.  It's about the same as far as I'm concerned!  And this makes a unique and adorable gift for a Kawaii fan.  You can read about their gift-giving options here. 

Kawaii Box comes from overseas and the items you receive would be kind of difficult to round up on your own, if you tried.  The cost of the box is fair considering you don't pay anything extra for shipping and the items are not things you could easily find here in the United States or outside of Asia, for that matter.

I have read older reviews of Kawaii Box and some people complained there were not enough Kawaii items in the box and that there was no itemized list of what you received.  Kawaii Box seems to have improved this- they now include the item list, and everything I received wasmost definitely Kawaii.  The price was fair, in my opinion.  I think the real joy of this package is just in receiving it and squealing with happiness when I opened it up to see all of those cute goodies.  I shared some of them with other Kawaii lovers I know. I kept other items.  And two of them I will eat!  So all of the items are of use to me.
